Prioritising Your Marriage Again
Loving Your Spouse When You Feel Like Walking Away
Day 11 of 21 · Tuesday 21 April 2026
Scripture reading
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Matthew 6:21, KJV
Teaching lesson
What we prioritise, we invest in.What we neglect, we lose strength in.
A couple once said, “We don’t have time for each other anymore.”
But when they looked closer, they realised:
Time was being given to work
Time was being given to phones
Time was being given to everything else
Marriage was not lacking time; it was lacking priority.
Reconnection happens when couples intentionally place their relationship back at the centre.
Consider this simple truth:
You cannot expect a strong marriage without consistent investment.
Reconnection does not require grand gestures. It begins with small, intentional choices:
Sitting together without distraction
Checking in emotionally
Showing interest in each other’s day
These moments rebuild connection over time.
Together
Your challenge
Schedule one intentional “connection moment” each day this week (even 10 minutes).
On your own
To reflect on
- What currently has priority over my marriage?
- What small change can I make to invest more intentionally?
Prayer focus
“Pray for discipline to prioritise your relationship and invest in it daily.”
