A Renewed Marriage Commitment
Loving Your Spouse When You Feel Like Walking Away
Day 21 of 21 · Friday 1 May 2026
Scripture reading
“And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:12, KJV
Teaching lesson
After growth, healing, and rebuilding, there comes a moment to recommit.
A couple once said, “We’re not the same as when we started, and that’s a good thing.”
They had:
Faced challenges
Learned new skills
Grown in understanding
Now, they had a choice:Return to old ways,orStep forward with renewed commitment.
We must be willing to make a conscious commitment to a strong and lasting future together.
A renewed commitment is not about perfection; it is about intention.
It says:“We choose each other again.”“We commit to growth.”“We move forward together.”
And when God remains at the centre, that commitment is strengthened.
Together
Your challenge
Share a personal commitment you are making to your marriage moving forward.
On your own
To reflect on
- What have I learned during this journey?
- What am I committing to going forward?
Prayer focus
“Pray for renewed commitment, unity, and a strong future together.”
